Our Founder and President, E.J. “Edge” Simonsen initially visualized the Home Solution Counselors concept as “Saving Homes and Saving Families.”  E.J., a licensed real estate Broker, can be heard weekly, during Monday morning drive time from 7:00-8:00 on CBS Talk Radio on 650 AM in the Houston area or at http://www.talk650.com/ where E.J. counsels the public on various options when facing a tough mortgage situation.  In 2001, E.J. “Edge” Simonsen started the first HomeVestors® “We Buy Ugly Houses” franchise in Fort Bend County, Texas.  It quickly grew into the 5th largest office in the USA.  From Rookie of the Year, to induction into the Hall of Honor for HomeVestors of America®, he and his staff evaluated thousands of tough family situations.  E.J. holds a BBA-Marketing from the University of Houston.

As Vice-President, Mike Baker is responsible for strategic planning and managing the company’s growth mission and operational objectives.  Prior to joining Home Solution Counselors, Mike spent 17 years in the technology industry, holding various sales and sales management positions with IBM, Symantec and Hewlett-Packard.  Mike is also the managing partner in a property tax lending business and is a licensed REALTOR®.  Mike holds a BBA-Finance from the University of Houston.

Senior Loss Mitigation Counselor, Steven Schwinger works with REALTORS® and families to help them through the process.  Steven is a relentless negotiator who works directly with the banks to ensure a speedy and satisfactory resolution.  A successful real estate investor, Steven continues to manage a large portfolio of rental properties.  Steven is also a licensed REALTOR® and a graduate of Baylor University.

Senior Loss Mitigation Counselor, Ron Glaser is responsible for obtaining a satisfactory resolution for his clients and their REALTOR®.  He engages with the banks directly and is meticulous about making sure everyone is informed during the process.  After Ron moved to Houston from Michigan, where he enjoyed success as a REALTOR® with Keller-Williams, he decided to take up the cause of helping families avoid financial disaster.  Ron is a licensed REALTOR®.  Prior to real estate Ron worked for Chrysler for 15 years.

George Gore

In addition to his own private practice, George Gore is a contributor to our Blog for Attorneys.  The Gore Law Firm specializes in mortgage litigation and consumer defense.  Prior to starting his own firm, George was an Associate with Doyle, Restrepo, Harvin and Robbins and clerked with the IRS and 1st Court of Appeals.  George holds both a BS and JD from the University of Houston.

As Client Service Manager, Christie Glaser oversees all aspects of the client lifecycle from intake to closure.  Prior to joining HSC, Christie was a licensed radiology technician.  Her native home country is Michigan.  Christie is a graduate of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University.

Dan Welch joined TeamHSC in 2009 directly from a mortgage service company where he was responsible for negotiating short sales and loan modifications.  He brings knowledge, insight and experience of the inner workings of mortgage servicers.  He uses every tool at his disposal to win for his clients.
